Ten Fifth grade students from D-G Elementary spent part of the day on January 22 at the Dysart Pioneer Plant. All the students at D-G where invited to enter the contest that was being put on by Pioneer. The contest was to show the importance of safety in everyday life, on and off work. The students who were made up of 2-3 person teams and showed the employees of Pioneer skits on the safety idea they chose.

One of the prizes the students would receive was to have a tour of the plant. Since there were only ten participants they were considered all winners. The other prizes that were given were movie passes to the Vinton Theatre and $ 5.00 gift certificated to McDonalds.
