Following a safety and a 78-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Justin Carey, Union led 9-0 with just 18 seconds off the clock and never looked back. Carey also took a 98-yard kickoff return to the house to open the second half, breaking the all-time Union record for longest return.
Jay Scheel threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, and Brian Dunkelberger, Brady Petersen and Scheel all had receiving TDs in the contest.
Josh Clark and John Ringelstetter recorded solo sacks on the defensive end, with Clark leading the team with six total tackles, including one for loss. Will Crees, Tyler Fischels and Trev Hadachek all had interceptions, and Christian Gray had a fumble recovery.
Union ends the regular season undefeated in district play and with an eight-game winning streak, earning themselves a No. 1 seed in the state football playoffs.
