The Dysart Ambulance Service and Dysart Fire Department responded to a call for a reported accident last Monday morning, October 22, a little after 7:30 a.m.
The accident, at the corner of 15th Avenue and 61st Street involved two pickup trucks, one of which was pulling a livestock trailer with a cow onboard. A severe downpour at the time, with zero visibility reported, contributed to the accident.
The Dysart Ambulance Service transported two people to a local hospital, each with multiple injuries. Responding agencies were; Dysart Ambulance Service, Dysart Fire Department, Garrison First Responders, Garrison Fire Department and North Benton Ambulance Service.
The cow, which was later revealed to have suffered a broken back, was transported to Van's Locker by private vehicle.
