The Union Knights fell 19-0 in a rain-soaked contest to district-leading South Tama on Friday night, failing to score a point for the first time this season.
South Tama's Jerry Lowe had two touchdowns in the first quarter and Union's offense could not get rolling as the first half ended 13-0. The Knights had a big drive in the third quarter that stalled on the one yard line on a failed QB sneak. Lowe made his final score of the game on a 44 yard run to finish out the scoring in the third period. The final quarter was scoreless for both teams.
Isaiah Vaughn rushed for just 69 yards on 22 carries, and the Union defense failed to get to the opposing quarterback, recording no sacks in the game.
The Knights (1-3) travel to East Marshall (1-3) this Friday in district play.
