Union falls to Williamsburg in Class 2A state playoffs

November 17, 2017
Dysart Reporter

The Union Knights' trip to the Class 2A state playoffs was cut short this past Friday with a 28-14 defeat at the hands of Williamsburg.

Quarterback Troy Hanus was 11-of-21 for just 65 yards as the Williamsburg defense proved too stout for the Knights' offensive attack. Kaleb Roach rushed for 47 yards in 16 carries, and Silver Schmitz caught two passes for 21 yards.

Union's two scores came on the ground from Hanus and senior running back Koby Alpers.
