Larry Karpisek

Larry Lambert Karpisek, 66, of Dysart, died on October 9, 2018. He was born on May 7, 1952, the son of Lambert and Adeline (Kohout) Karpisek. Larry was born in Clarion and moved to Vinton at a young age. The family purchased a farm by Dysart, where they moved and Larry grew up. He attended Dysart Community School and graduated with the class of 1970. On August 7, 1971, Larry was united in marriage to Jean Fleming in Dysart. Larry remained on the farm and continued farming with his parents and later with his wife and children. Farming was his life and he felt very honored that his children worked by his side on the family farm. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law; and two sisters-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean; three sons, Brian, Ryan, and Chad Karpisek all of Dysart; a daughter, Kelli (Doug) Knoop of Dysart; two precious grandchildren, Avery and Keegan Knoop; and two sisters, Darlene (Roger) Harder of Keystone and Betty (Jim) Harrison of Traer.
